Hairstroke Judging Criteria:
Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Shape – Assessment of the thickness, length and proportions of the eyebrow arch based on the model’s facial anatomy.
- Hair Realism – The harmony of the technique used in combining with the model’s existing hairs and the correct arrangement of the light-dark areas of the eyebrows are assessed.
- Hairstroke – Evaluation of the cleanliness, precision and elegance of the hairs traced.
- Symmetry – Evaluation of the participant’s ability to correct the asymmetry of the eyebrow arch, respecting the anatomical characteristics of the model.
- Depth of Action – The presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots and overlapping hairs is assessed; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
- Difficulty of Treatment – Assessment of the state of the model’s skin and the difficulty of treating her skin type and the presence of natural hair pre-treatment.
- Chosen Colour – Correct choice of colour according to the model’s phototype.
- Chosen Technique – Overall assessment of the conformity of the technique and style used by the operator.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator’s station in compliance with hygiene rules, the cleanliness of the station during the execution of the treatment and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene rules.

Powder Brow Judging Criteria
Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Shape –Assessment of the thickness, length and proportions of the eyebrow arch based on the model’s facial anatomy.
- Chosen Colour – Correct choice of colour according to the model’s phototype.
- Symmetry – Evaluation of the participant’s ability to correct the asymmetry of the eyebrow arch, respecting the anatomical characteristics of the model.
- Depth of Action – The presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots and overlapping hairs is assessed; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
- Harmony – Evaluate the overall softness and harmony of the treatment in correlation with the model’s facial anatomy.
- Shade Graduality – The gradual transition from a higher to a lower intensity of the shade is evaluated.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator’s station in compliance with hygiene rules, the cleanliness of the station during the execution of the treatment and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene rules.

- Symmetry – Evaluation of the participant’s ability to create proper symmetry while respecting the anatomical features of the model.
- Depth of Action – The presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
- Harmony – Overall softness and harmony of the treatment are assessed in correlation with the model’s facial anatomy.
- Shade Graduality – The gradual transition from a higher to a lower intensity of the shade is evaluated.

Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Shape – General evaluation of the shape with particular attention to the contour, as precise and neat as possible.
- Chosen Colour – Correct choice of colour according to the skin tone treated.
- Symmetry – Evaluation of the participant’s ability to correct asymmetry, respecting the anatomical characteristics of the model.
- Depth of Action – The presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots and lip contour leakage is assessed; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
- Contour – The uniformity of the contour is assessed, the intensity of the perimeter line must be equally saturated at each point.
- Colour Uniformity – The saturation of the treatment is assessed on the entire mucosa, which must be homogenous and free of discolouration.
- Difficulty of Treatment – The initial situation of the model, the skin on which the operator will perform the treatment and the complexity of the technique used will be assessed.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations, the cleanliness of the workstation during the execution of the treatment, and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene regulations.

SMP Judging Criteria
Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Proper Dot Correlation between dot size and distribution.
- Hairline Shape – the more natural and NOT sharp the attachment, the higher the score.
- Dots Distance – Dots too close together or too far apart.
- Depth of Action – Dots inserted too deeply.
- Dot Size – The more natural the size, the higher the score.
- Chiaroscuro Effect – Chiaroscuro effect for shaved effect.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations, the cleanliness of the workstation during the execution of the treatment, and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene regulations.

Areola (Latex) Judging Criteria
Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Realism of Treatment – The presence of granules folds and shadows that make the treatment more realistic.
- Correct Colour – Choosing the correct colours for treatment.
- Correct Areola Size – Fair and realistic areola size.
- Correct Areola & Nipple Size – Right size and proportion between areola and nipple.
- Depth of Action – Excessively heavy hand and trauma on latex.
- Areola Border -Without clear contours.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations, the cleanliness of the workstation during the execution of the treatment, and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene regulations.

FineLine Judging Criteria
Each competitor will be evaluated using a strict, unbaised scoring system based on the following:
- Uniformity Of The Tract – Precise lines, uniform in intensity and thickness.
- Tract Cleaning – Cleaner lines guarantee a higher score.
- Depth of Action – The presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots is assessed; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
- Artistic Score – Artistic talent expressed in the work.
- Design Complexity – The more difficult a design is considered, the higher the score.
- Hygiene – Evaluate the preparation of the operator workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations, the cleanliness of the workstation during the execution of the treatment, and the misalignment of the treatment in compliance with hygiene regulations.

The event will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Coventry – Paradise Way, Walsgrave Triangle, CV2 2ST on 11th & 12th September 2026.
The Live compeition will be held on Saturday 6th.
You must be 18 years old and a certified and experienced permanent makeup artist to apply. Proof of certification or qualifications will be required.
Yes! You are welcome to bring friends, family, or a client of your own to use as your model.
Your model will not need a ticket, however if they would like to stay for the evening or entire weekend, they will need to purchase the relevant ticket.

Yes. The entry fee is £125 + VAT to compete live. If you are attending the rest of the conference or the Gala Dinner & Awards you will need to purchase an additional ticket.
Fill out the online application form and submit. We will then be in touch for the below information:
- Your portfolio (before/after photos) and videos of your work.
- Proof of certification or qualifications.
- Headshot & BIO.
- Social Handles.
All submissions must be received by 5th August 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
You are required to bring:
- Your own PMU machine and pigments.
- Disposable tools and hygiene supplies.
- Model (Unless you have made arrangements with us prior)
- Anything you couldn’t tattoo without – bring it!
Beds, trolleys and lights will be supplied.
No, each artist must bring their own model, however if you need help sourcing a model please contact us.
Note: Models must sign a consent form before the procedure.
Judging is live based on the above criteria.
Winners will receive trophies, PMU products, certificates, media features and potential collaboration or vendor opportunities at future events.
All artists must follow strict hygiene protocols, use disposable materials, and follow PMU regulations. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification.
Yes. Each artist will be given a set time for setup, procedure, and cleanup. Time management will be a judging factor.
No, as this competition is being judged live.
Yes! All participants will receive a judges scorecard with notes to help you grow in your PMU journey.
